LG has officially unveiled the first dual core processor smart phone in the world – LG Optimus 2X. This phone has a NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and it will make it the fastest phone currently available, thereby making multi-tasking and web browsing very convenient for the user with no screen lag at all. This phone will initially be available with Google Android 2.2 OS which can be upgradable to Android v 2.3.

Dual-core technology is the next leap forward in mobile technology so this is no small achievement to be the first to offer a smart phone utilizing this technology. With unique features such as HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) mirroring and exceptional graphics performance, the LG Optimus 2X is proof of LG’s commitment to high-end smart phones in 2011.
Few know features of LG Optimus 2X include:
- Dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor
- 4 inch WVGA touch screen
- 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera
- 1080p MPEG-4/H.264 video recording and playback
- 8GB internal memory, Expandable memory of up to 32GB
- HDMI mirroring
- 1500mAh battery
This super phone will first be available in South Korea and later it is expected to come to Europe and the rest of Asia.
The pricing of this phone is not yet revealed but we expect it to be not cheap since the phone seems to be nothing less than a mini laptop.
