Motorola’s E4 and the E4 Plus were launched last year in June 2017 having a pretty decent budget-friendly hardware. Both of them had almost the same chipset and CPU with boosted up display, RAM, storage, camera and the battery capacity. If rumors are to be considered true we shall be seeing another installment of the E Series soon. The Lenovo owned company Motorola is kind of planning to launch another new variant of the E Series. The company is constantly renewing the existing brands with yearly updates and upgrades.
The Moto E5 news was first presented online by My Smart Price where they revealed the first ever picture of the possible Moto E5. Though much of the information couldn’t be pulled out looking at the picture makes us assume a few things. The design is on par with the Moto E4 Plus and might have a metallic body with Gold aesthetic color which indeed is just an assumption. The screen size remains the same and has a possibility for 16:9 screen aspect ratio. In accordance with the same, the front facing fingerprint sensor is now shifted to the rear side where usually Motorola logo resides. The logo now doubles as a fingerprint sensor. Sources consider that the presence of chrome ring on the outer lining of the embedded logo is normally done to reside the fingerprint sensor. Which is again an assumption indeed but considering its 2018, presence of the same sensor is quite usual.
The microphone also got shifted to the front which was earlier residing on the back of the Moto E4. As per the picture, it is also clear that USB Type C ports are not going to be introduced anytime sooner for the new variant as well. The front bottom is now taken by the Motorola logo where earlier the fingerprint sensor used to be. Volume rockers and the power button would be on the ideal right side. On the rear side, camera hump is prominent and is accompanied by a single camera lens having LED flash. Processor earlier used was from MediaTek and the company might continue using the same.
Rumors suggest it launch in April 2018 but we assume Motorola might stick to the Mid June release as earlier adopted for the E4 and the E4 Plus. The E5 would also have an E5 Plus model pretty sooner followed by the E5 launch or may be together.
