According to a listing on Chinese regulatory body for telecommunication device’s website TENAA, Nokia 3310 is in works which will support 4G LTE bands. Nokia 3310 was the most popular handset’s of all times with humongous sale figures, popularly known for the battery backup and rigid form in the late 90’s. Nokia was taken over by HMD global, revamped the device as per the latest trends and re-launched it in the market with 3G support last year.
TENAA, listed the model no for the 4G VOLTE support Nokia 3310 as TA 1077. Will be 13 mm thick with an overall weight of 75 grams. It will have 2.4 inches non-touch TFT display having 240 x 320-pixel resolutions. The battery would be 1200 mAh capacity. Fresh blue and dark black colours would be available to choose from. The phone will support various LTE bands, including Band 38, 39, 40, 41 in addition to the standards such as GSM, TD-SCDMA, and TD-LTE. The phone though would have 4G LTE support but other aesthetics of the phone remains the same as per the phone released last year.
Inside the phone, you will get a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor having 256 MB of RAM coupled with 512 MB of internal storage which would support expansion up to 128 GB via microSD card. Nokia 3310 4G phone will also have a 2MP rear camera as per the listing on TENAA. The device is supposed to have a forked version of Android which is powered by Alibaba and is assumed to have a cloud version of email and navigations feature. Other Android features would be limited due to the absence of Google Play Services.
The above information is just a speculation and concrete confirmation is yet to be released. Sources suggest that the company might launch it during the MWC 2018 since the classic Nokia 3310 was launched at MWC last year. HMD global will also introduce the new versions of Nokia 8, Nokia 6 alongside the flagship Nokia 9 at the company’s event on January 19th in China.
