We had earlier reported that the Huawei Y9 prime would be launching in India on August 1. This would be an Amazon exclusive and shall be available for offline purchases as well. The phone shall be the first from the maker’s featuring a pop-up selfie camera.

The smartphone from Huawei would have only a single configuration up for sale. It will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. The phone shall be available for purchase for Rs. 15,999 for the single variant as mentioned above. Consumers can buy the phone in Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue colors to choose from. The online sale shall commence from August 7th exclusively on Amazon and other major offline retails stores.

The phone comes with a Full HD+ display measuring 6.59 inches. The display is said to be a full view vivid display with a screen-to-body ratio of 84.3 percent. Inside the phone is where you get the Kirin 710F chipset and is supported by GPU Turbo 2.0 for enhanced in-game performance. For memory, the phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage. The phone does provide additional storage capabilities up to 512 GB via micro SD cards. The phone is powered by Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9 on top out of the box.
On the optics side, the phone comes with a triple camera setup of a 16-megapixel lens with an aperture rating of f/1.8, coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear camera has AI capabilities to recognize 500+ scenes and 22 categories in real-time enhancing the accuracy of every image. On the front, there is a pop up 16-megapixel sensor along with AI beautification features baked in. Both the cameras on the device features 3D portrait retouch capabilities. This feature can retouch your portrait shots with studio-quality lighting effects.
The phones come with a USB type C port to charge the massive 4,000 mAh battery. As of now, there is no word on the battery to feature any sort of fast charging. The phone also sports smart power-saving processor which increases the power efficiency of the device.
