Nokia 9 PureView Launched with Quintuple Cameras for INR 49,999

The Nokia 9 PureView was earlier announced during the MWC 2019 and it has been finally launched. The phone is first of its kind to have 5 camera’s on the rear side of the phone. This would be the company’s first phone to feature an in display fingerprint sensor.

Nokia 9 PureView Pricing, Launch Offers & Availability

The Nokia 9 PureView will be made available on Nokia’s official online store from July 10. Post which the smartphone will start selling on Flipkart and other online stores starting July 17th. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note K20 series shall also start retailing from July 17th exclusively on Flipkart.

The new smartphone from Nokia is been priced at Rs. 49,999 along with complimentary Nokia 705 earbuds worth Rs.9,999 for a limited period. Also who makes the purchase through official online Nokia store will be entitled to get a gift card worth Rs.5,000. Additionally, Nokia is also offering 10 percent cash back for people who purchase the same using HDFC Credit, Debit cards which will be valid till August 31st.

Design and Body

The phone measures 8 mm with a combined weight of 172 g. As per the design aspect, the phone frame is made up of aluminum and the front and back panel is protected by gorilla glass. Nokia has also got on board the IP67 dust/water resistance feature up to 1 meter for 30 mins.

Display

The phone comes with a 5.99-inch P-OLED capacitive touchscreen. The display also featuresĀ  1440 X 2880 pixels resolution along with 79.7 percent screen to body ratio. For protection, the display uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and produces 538 PPI as pixel density. Nokia PureDisplay technology comes equipped which includes HDR 10 support to enjoy high-resolution content on the device from streaming providers like YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime.

Operating System

Nokia’s new flagship would be a part of Android One Program and shall come with vanilla stock Android 9.0 Pie.

Processor & Memory

Inside the phone, you will find slightly old Snapdragon 845 chipset on an Octa-core CPU coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. The new phone from Nokia lacks a memory expansion slot and only offers 128GB of internal memory and 6GB of RAM.

Camera

As per the Optics, Nokia flagship comes with five cameras of 12 megapixels each having f/1.8 aperture. The rear sensors are from Zeiss and feature dual LED dual tone flash along with HDR and panorama. These include two 12MP RGB sensors and three 12MP monochrome lenses. On the front, you will find a single 20-megapixel shooter.

Connectivity and Other Features

Connectivity features include WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and USB type C 1.0. The display houses the fingerprint sensor along with an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer sensors baked in.

Battery

The phones packs in 3,320 mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging. Additionally, the phone also supports fast wireless charging of 10W through Qi.
