We are pretty sure that you are aware of the term called GIF. Those who don’t GIF is a lossless format for image files that supports both animated and static images. GIF’s are majorly circulated through Whatsapp and Messenger apps like Facebook messenger, Hike Messenger, Telegram, etc. Have you ever thought of making your own GIF’s. Making professional GIF’s isn’t possible for most of the people out there.
In this post, we shall let you know a small trick using which you can convert any YouTube video you like into a GIF, sounds cool right! Let us see how to do that.
Turn Youtube Video into GIF
Step 1. Go to www.youtube.com and select a video you like.
Step 2. Find the URL of that particular video at the top of your browser.
Step 3. Now simply add the word “gif” without quotes right before the domain name and hit enter. For eg if URL is https://www.youtube.com/xxedfrttv then it will read https://gifyoutube .com/xxedfrttv.
Step 4. Once entered you will be redirected to gif.com. Your video shall be there available and ready for further editing. Please Note this may take some time as per the quality of your video and internet speed.
Step 5. On the new page, you will be welcomed with an online editor where you can find options to the left-hand side with a timeline bar at the bottom of your video. You can select the GIF duration, crop its frame, add captions, and more.
Step 6. Click “Create GIF” on the top right and it will prompt you for a GIF title and set of tags.
Step 7. Then click “Next,” the landing page will have the GIF you just made. Along with that, you will have options to share and embed the same to different social media platforms.
Please Note, you can only download this GIF to an offline file by signing up with gifs.com. The website also gives you the option to resize or compress your GIF and remove watermarks for a price of $9.99 per month with an initial 7-day trial.
So guys isn’t that really easy, we are in deep love with this and are planning to buy a premium subscription. Though the free version with watermarks and the original size is pretty much enough for a newbie, the paid version can only be beneficial for people using these gifs legally & commercially. Since converting YouTube video into a GIF is still considered as piracy.
